Welcome
Fifth Asia Regional Mixed Methods Conference is scheduled to take place from 8th-10th September, 2023 in Beijing, China. "Mixed Method Research – Convergence · Joint Decision-making" is the theme of this conference.
This is the 5th Asian Regional Conference of the Mixed Methods International Research Association (MMIRA), and the 6th Annual Conference of Mixed Methods International Research Association-China Chapter. It aims at sharing the knowledge required to develop, design, and construct MMR among the researchers and practitioners not only in Japan but also in Asian regions.
Distinguished speakers in the field of MMR will be invited to deliver keynote speeches, workshops, and presentations. We encourage researchers and practitioners in a variety of fields to join this conference.

Call for abstracts
The organizing committee of the Fifth Asia Regional Mixed Methods Conference is calling for abstract submissions. You are invited to submit your abstracts in English, which is the official language of the conference. To present your research at the conference, submitted abstracts must pass the double-blind peer review process. When your abstract is accepted, you must pay conference registration fees to confirm your attendance at the conference.
Announcements
1.The deadline for abstract submission is June 30, 2023 Beijing time.
2.Please download the appropriate template form below and prepare your abstract.
Notes
• Be sure to follow the instructions in the template when preparing your abstract.
• Abstracts should be no more than one A4 page per presentation.
3.Please specify your preferred format when submitting your abstract.
Oral Presentation
• For Chinese participants, on-site presentation in Beijing China;
• For participants from other countries, Online presentation via Zoom (on-demand video)
Poster Presentation
• For Chinese participants, posters are required to be made by authors and pasted at the entrance of the venue to display and communicate;
• For participants from other countries, posters are required to be made by authors and submitted to the website of conference.
4. Peer-review process
The organizing committee will review the abstract to ensure that it conforms to the template.
In case your abstract does not follow the rule specified in the template, we may ask you to revise it.
Please note that in some cases, we may ask you to change your presentation format. In that case, we will contact you by early August 2023. We appreciate
your kind cooperation if we ask you.

Conference registration will open in early July
Announcements for Conference Registration Fee:
a. For Chinese participants in China, they have to participant on site for 3 days, the fee will cover for workshop, conference and China MMR annual meeting, which will be 2500 RMB (357 US dollars).
b. For participants from other countries, we just provide online for 2 days, the fee will cover for workshop, conference online, which will be 1000 RMB (142 US dollars). The fee for MMIRA or JSMMR members and students who participate online will be 800 RMB (115 US dollars).
